She went on to assist at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio in Norfolk, Virginia where she had the opportunity to have her first solo exhibition. Annie later received a scholarship to Penland School of Crafts, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Her affections for Western North Carolina and the artistic community grew and she relocated to Asheville, North Carolina where she has pursued her work as a full-time glass artist for the last 5 years. In 2021 she launched her own business “Her Glassworks” with the goal of working and collaborating with more women in the glass community. She rents time locally at North Carolina Glass Center in Asheville. She also works out of the Jackson County Green Energy Park in Dillsboro, NC where landfill gas is utilized to fuel the furnace.
