The Jackson County Arts Council is excited to sponsor the inaugural 4M Festival (Mountains Makers Mushrooms and Music), hosted by the Jackson Arts Market. The 4M Festival is a celebration of the Blue Ridge Mountains in downtown Sylva, NC on Saturday, September 3rd from 11 am – 6 pm.
 
This free event will feature an array of demonstrations, educational lectures, workshops, and storytelling sessions on the culture, history, music, food, foraging, native plants, and traditional and modern craft techniques of our region.

A host of live exhibitions from local artists will include blacksmithing, pottery, glassblowing, lampworking, painting, basket weaving, wood turning, lapidary stone working, jewelry making, crochet, textile arts, fly-tying for fishing, and traditional Cherokee arts. Artists will be providing an interactive, knowledge-sharing experience for attendees.

Come enjoy live music, local food, interactive workshops, and 70+ vendors, crafters, and producers. The 4M Festival is free to attend, celebrating the arts, culture, and natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

A silent auction fundraiser will support the Sylva Skate Park Project. Attendees will be able to bid on unique pendants created by local artists. Dive deep into understanding local culture & nature, finding inspiration from the creative spirit alive in these mountains.
