Art/Artist Sponsorships

About Sponsorships The Arts Council plays an active role in supporting the arts throughout Jackson County. Arts, cultural and historic organizations as well as our local artists and schools are among the greatest assets of our community. To support and grow our community the Arts Council offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities to artists and schools as well as art, cultural and historic organizations in Jackson County.

Regional Artist Project Sponsorship funds are intended to provide financial support to a broad range of exceptionally talented visual, performing, literary and inter-disciplinary artists by funding a project that will have a significant impact on the advancement of their professional artistic career. The applicant may be an emerging or established artist and as a general rule should have completed some basic education in his/her art form. A deserving applicant will have a strong record of artistic accomplishment appropriate to the stage of his/her career.

Grassroots Sponsorship may be awarded to local non-profit agencies in Jackson County who produce programs of arts, culture or historic merit and who demonstrate financial and administrative stability. The purpose of Grassroots Sponsorship is to recognize and support exemplary forms of artistic expression, both contemporary and traditional, in the visual arts, the performing arts, literature, media arts and the folk arts.
